Fit-out budget calculator

A planning range from the same published figures as the rates guide. Add costs only where your quote excludes them.

What this output is

The inputs are contractor and agency marketing ranges, which overlap because each firm bundles a different scope. Treat the result as a negotiating range to test three quotations against — never as a price. See methodology.

= 232.3 m²

10% is a planning assumption you can change; it is not a sourced rate.

Only fit-out scopes appear above. The lower design-service rates in the table below do not include construction. Package scopes overlap: check the written inclusions before entering extra costs, and leave included items at zero.

How the calculation works

Floor area in square feet is multiplied by the published low and high package rates. Only the excluded amounts you enter are added. Your reserve percentage is then applied to each subtotal. The rate sources do not provide a property-type multiplier or a preliminaries formula.

The categories people omit

All of these are covered in the hidden costs guide.

All figures come from contractor and agency marketing pages rather than audited datasets. They are indicative ranges for budgeting, not quotations. fixitdubai.ae: Published renovation ranges use different scopes and cannot be ranked directly against the package bands. They are additional examples, not a market average. Compare quotations only after matching their written scopes and exclusions.
