Privacy policy
This site is a static publication. It has no user accounts, no login, no advertising and no third-party trackers.
What is not collected
- The site application does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, may set security cookies when its protection features require them.
- No advertising networks, no ad pixels and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party analytics scripts, no social-media widgets and no embedded third-party players.
- No behavioural profiling, no session recording and no heatmaps.
- No sale, rental or exchange of personal data of any kind.
Interactive tools store data only on your device
The budget calculator and the area converter perform their calculations entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not transmitted anywhere.
The snagging and handover checklist saves your ticked items in your browser's local storage so that progress survives a page reload. That data never leaves your device and is deleted if you clear your browser data or press the reset button on the page. The checklist script reads it locally to restore your progress; it is not sent to our server. Other people using the same browser profile can see saved progress.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this site records standard request logs: the pages requested, IP address, the approximate time, the referring page and general technical details such as browser type. These logs are used to operate and secure the site — for example to identify abusive traffic — and are retained for a limited period.
Cloudflare processes request data to deliver and protect this site. Its cookie documentation explains the security cookies its features may use. This site does not add analytics or advertising tracking.
Email correspondence
If you write to [email protected], the message and your email address are processed for the purpose of answering you, and for applying any correction you have sent. Correspondence is not published, not sold and not used for marketing. There is no mailing list and no newsletter.
External links
Pages cite their sources with links to third-party websites — developer press releases, authority service descriptions, weather stations and the contractor and agency pages that publish the rate figures used here. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
Children
This site is a professional and consumer information resource. It is not directed at children and does not ask children to submit personal information. Standard request logging still applies to visits.
Your rights
For questions or requests about personal information in correspondence or request logs, email [email protected]. Identify the information concerned so the request can be reviewed. You can remove saved checklist progress using Reset all or your browser's site-data controls.
Residents of jurisdictions with specific data-protection rights may exercise them by the same address. Requests are answered within a reasonable period.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes would be noted on the about page.
